MIRACLE MidTerm Meeting 2026

On 20 January 2026, the MIRACLE consortium will come together at Amsterdam UMC for its second in-person meeting, the official MidTerm Meeting, marking a key milestone in our MSCA Doctoral Network. This meeting is a moment to reflect on our shared mission to combat minimal residual disease (MRD) in leukemia and to showcase the progress we have made since the launch of the MSCA MIRACLE project in December 2024. 

The meeting will be chaired by Ms. Stanka Miteva, our EU Project Officer from the European Research Executive Agency (REA), who will oversee the plenary programme and engage directly with our Doctoral Candidates and consortium partners. Dr. Linda Smit, Project Coordinator from Amsterdam UMC, will co-chair the event.

Highlights of the day include:

  • A presentation by the EU Project Officer on MSCA project expectations;
  • A detailed progress report by the coordination team;
  • Presentations by all 10 Doctoral Candidates, introducing their backgrounds and individual research projects;
  • Parallel sessions for the Advisory Board, Supervisory Board, and the Doctoral Candidates Committee;
  • A closing discussion and feedback session.

We look forward to an engaging and productive day, built on openness, shared insight, and a strong commitment to MIRACLE’s goals.

MIRACLE-Leukemia is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie doctoral network and aims to combat MRD to improve leukemia treatment. MIRACLE stands for "Integrated multi-angle research and training network to eradicate leukemia minimal residual disease."

The MIRACLE-leukemia network consists of 23 partners and employs 10 talented researchers (doctoral candidates) that will perform cutting-edge studies across academic and industrial settings while having training in multidisciplinary and transferable skills.
